Location
Grimsby is a town in the Niagara Region of Ontario, Canada, located on the south shores of Lake Ontario and the Niagara Escarpment. It's the westernmost town in the Niagara Region and is part of the Hamilton Census Metropolitan Area.
History
The first European settlers arrived in the 1780s and the town was originally called The Forty. It was named after Grimsby, England and was incorporated as a town in 1921.
